From the Pit of Despair

Now the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard. Genesis 37:36

Now Joseph had been sold into slavery and now on a journey. He had no clue where he was going, what he was going to encounter and if he was going to return home. The children of Israel had a similar experience in that they were led out of Egypt by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. All they knew was that they were going to the, “Promised Land.” They did not know the route or how long it would take, but they were on a journey. Have you ever been on a journey and didn’t know where God was taking you, but went on anyway. Could you imagine Joseph, he didn’t know he was on his way to a promise of rulership. In all actuality he was in the land of Canaan with his family before being sold into slavery where over 400 years later the Children of Israel would return. The journey often starts off with movement towards your God ordained purpose, but there is often opposition. The journey is using training, the wilderness process that brings us into our purpose in life. You may be unsure as to where you are headed, but rest assured that you are being led by the almighty.

Lord thank you for leading me to purpose and destiny. I may not understand everything, but lead me in the way you want me to go. Increase my faith for those times that I am unsure of the path before. Guide my steps and light my pathway, In Jesus name!
