When the disciples were on the boat in the middle of the sea, Jesus came to them walking on the water. They became fearful. Only Peter asked the question in the middle of the sea, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” And when Jesus said, “come,” Peter came down out of the boat and walked on the water.
Peter left the other 11 disciples in the boat being fearful and afraid to step out on the word of God. They looked on as Peter was taking steps away from them and the boat towards Jesus. They had the same opportunity as Peter when Jesus said, “come.” But they sat still.
Leave those who would rather sit in the boat and watch others pass them by. Don’t allow others to try and keep you in the boat. Break away from the pack. Don’t be afraid of what others may say when you step out into uncharted waters. It’s time for you to step out of the boat into the endless sea of Faith. Matthew 14:22-29
