Everyday Faith

Faith is getting up in the morning and believing you will see the end of the day. Faith is getting into a vehicle and driving expecting to get to a desired location. Faith is getting on a roller coaster going up and down never expecting it to break down up side down. Faith is flying in an airplane, having a smooth ride and landing. Don’t you believe that when you drive, fly or go on a roller coaster that you will get to your final destination? Vehicles are man-made with machines assistance. You trust them don’t you? Of course you do or you wouldn’t use them.

Faith is when you hunt for food. Faith is when you plant and reap food. Faith is when you go out to a restaurant to eat with family or friends. Faith is when you shop at the grocery store for prepackaged food. Don’t you believe that the food you hunted or purchased is free of bacteria, disease, pesticides and you go ahead to prepare it and eat it. Don’t you believe that the food that you are being served at the restaurant has not been left from the day before, the food was not dropped on the floor, the preparer used gloves and even washed their hands?? I can go on and on, but the point has been made.

Faith starts with God, the creator of all things. You have to first believe that the world that you see everyday was created by God. The sun, the moon, the clouds, the rain, the ground, etc. Everyday is a step in faith. You believe in the things you eat, wear, read, watch, drive, etc. You even believe in the wind you don’t see, but feel and at times hear. 2 Corinthians 4:18 says while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the temporary things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
