Encouragement

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved– Helen Keller

To begin to understand how to handle problems and situations as they come, you first must understand the reason that we experience problems. When you understand why you are going through difficulties then your perspective will change and the outcome will be different. As long as we are here on this earth, we will have to experience some type of problem/trial. It doesn’t matter if you are rich, poor, educated, uneducated, black, white, etc, everybody will go through some type of trial. James 1:2-4 says My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing (Character). 1 Peter 4:12 says Beloved do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange things happened to you. So the reason for the problems that we will experience is to try you to test your faith. That’s it. It isn’t anything complicated. Everytime you are tried/tested it should produce patience, if you allow it. Being patient means that you endure pain, trouble without complaining, calmly enduring (standing strong). When it is all said and done, you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete. As I have always stated, “experience is your best teacher, what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.”
